Dagmar Pecková was born was born in Chrudim. She studied at the State Conservatory in Prague. After an engagement at the Sächsische Staatsoper in Dresden, she was a member of the Staatsoper in Berlin. In the course of her successful professional career, she has made appearances on the world’s great opera and concert stages, including the Bayerische Staatsoper, Carnegie Hall in New York, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Grand Théâtre de
Genève, the Hamburgische Staatsoper, the National Theatre in Prague, the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, the Opéra National de Paris, the Opernhaus Zürich, London’s Royal Opera House Covent in Garden London, the San Francisco Opera, the Staatstheater Stuttgart, the Theater Basel, the Théâtre du Châtelet Paris, the Teatro São Carlos in Lisbon, and Wigmore Hall in London. She has appeared repeatedly at prestigious international music festivals, such as the Edinburgh International Festival, the Salzburg Festival, Prague Spring, and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, where
