


Michaela Koudelková specializes mainly in the interpretation of early music and performs on copies of period instruments, including recorders and the transverse flute. She is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, where she studied under Peter Holtslag and Erik Bosgraaf, and she furthered her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg. She is a sought-after soloist, chamber player, and orchestral musician, appearing with ensembles including {oh!} Orkiestra (Poland), Collegium Marianum (Czech Republic), and Czech Ensemble Baroque (Czech Republic) and performing with such renowned conductors as Jos van Immerseel, Benjamin Bayl, and Tomáš Netopil. Ms. Koudelková has enjoyed success at international competitions, winning first prize at the International Flute Competition in Tel Aviv (Israel) and earning a selection as one of six finalists at the Kaleidoscope Vocal and Instrumental Competition (USA). At the Musica Antica Maurizio Pratola chamber music competition, she and her ensemble Overtone won first prize, and she also received the special Luigi Tufano Prize as the best transverse flute player. Besides engaging in concert activities, Michaela teaches at the Brno Conservatoire. She also founded the recorder programme at the Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland, where she has been teaching since October 2024.
