PRESTO MUSIC AWARD 2025

On 4th December, the Presto Music Awards ceremony took place at the Leamington Spa store in the UK. The Presto editorial team decided on their Top 10 Classical Recordings of 2025 and six special category winners. The Pavel Haas Quartet has become one of the classical winners!

One of the most distinctive ensembles on the world chamber music scene, the Pavel Haas Quartet released their new album dedicated to the string quartets of Bohuslav Martinů in September. The recording features Quartets Nos. 2, 3, 5, and 7 – four separate musical worlds that engage in a quiet but intense dialogue spanning more than two decades of the 20th century. The Pavel Haas Quartet’s performance of Martinů’s music is not only brilliantly interpreted, but above all deeply felt.
