The Pavel Haas Quartet is one of the world’s most exciting contemporary chamber ensembles. Performing at the most renowned concert venues around the globe, the PHQ have to date recorded eight critically acclaimed CDs, which have received numerous prestigious awards. In 2022, it will be 20 years since the first violinist Veronika Jarůšková founded the ensemble together with the former violist Pavel Nikl. The PHQ have exclusively recorded for Supraphon. In an interview with music publicist Marek Šulc and the Jarůšeks, you will learn how the name of the quartet came about, how the concert repertoire is chosen, what influences the dramaturgy of the recordings or what new album the ensemble is preparing.
